The David Legacy

As from an early age the passion for leadership and motivation was instilled in the founder of The David Legacy. Lizé Botha-Cornelissen grew up in a home where both her parents taught her through their journey as entrepreneurs and leaders the importance of personal and team development. One of the fondest memories of her childhood was her father sharing real life stories of leaders who thrived through difficult times and who showed tenacity in fulfilling their vision and purpose within their businesses and community.
This narrative led her to study Psychology as this would provide a sufficient platform to contribute professionally to her vision for well-being and sustainability of individuals, teams and leaders. She completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in 2005 through the University of Stellenbosch with her internship at Panorama Medi-clinic. Her internship equipped her with experience, not only in individual and team counselling but also in workshop training, development and facilitation. Apart from further psychology related accreditations, Lizé also obtained a certificate in Human Resource Management through University of Pretoria along with a Coaching certificate through ICF accredited Coaching Development. After registering at the HPCSA as a Psychologist, Lizé Botha & Associates was founded which focused on a variety of services including assessments, consulting and development orientated initiatives. Lizé has always valued the concept of “village” and collaboration. Through this, Lizé and her team have been able to work across various industries focusing on what they passionately believe in – which is the sustainability of businesses and the importance to support leaders and teams to fulfil their vision and purpose. Lizé Botha & Associates re-branded to The David Legacy early in 2019. The David Legacy represents the value of courage and focus of building a legacy, not only as a business themselves but also for their clients and their staff.
